How does the process work?
At RBG, we guide you through a step-by-step process to plan your medical holiday, ensuring all aspects are covered before you travel. Here’s how it works:
- Inquiry and eConsultation: After receiving your inquiry, we provide you with all the necessary information to complete an eConsultation. You’ll need to share your medical history, desired procedures, and photos of the relevant areas. This information is then sent to the surgeons at your chosen destination for a Surgical Recommendation.
- Surgical Recommendation: We present the Surgical Recommendation to you, detailing surgery costs, inclusions and exclusions, and the recommended length of stay in the hospital and the destination country post-discharge.
- Scheduling and Booking: Once you review the Surgical Recommendation and decide to proceed, we schedule your surgery date and provide you with a booking link and deposit information.
- Pre-Departure Preparation: Leading up to your departure, we assist you with all necessary preparations. This includes sending you a final treatment plan, which outlines your surgical procedures, costs, hospital and surgeon details, and key contact information for your driver and ground care staff. We also provide pre-departure information, such as visa requirements, post-surgical care, local tips, and medical travel insurance details.
Our goal is to ensure you have a smooth and safe surgical holiday from start to finish.
Why did RBG choose Thailand and Bali?
At RBG, we carefully selected Thailand and Bali as our primary destinations for medical tourism due to their exceptional healthcare standards, world-class facilities, and the unique recovery experiences they offer.
Thailand: A Leader in Medical Tourism
Thailand has long been recognised as a global leader in cosmetic surgery and dental treatments. The country boasts an advanced and affordable healthcare system, recently ranked as the 6th best in the world (with Australia at 10th). In 2002, Thailand became the first Asian country to receive the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, ensuring the highest quality standards in patient care. Our partner hospitals in Thailand continue to uphold these rigorous standards, using cutting-edge technology and techniques.
We collaborate with the same esteemed hospitals in Thailand, ensuring you receive top-notch care whether you’re in bustling Bangkok or serene Phuket. Both cities offer state-of-the-art medical facilities and highly skilled surgeons, coupled with the opportunity to explore Thailand’s rich culture and stunning landscapes. Post-surgery, you can recover in luxurious 5-star resorts, experiencing the best of Thai hospitality while rejuvenating in paradise.
Bali: The Emerging Hub
Bali is an emerging destination in the medical tourism market, known for its tranquil beauty and world-class healthcare. We partner with BIMC Hospital Nusa Dua, which has received international accreditation from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI). This ensures that our patients benefit from the same high-quality care standards found in top hospitals worldwide.
In Bali, you can enjoy a peaceful recovery in a tropical paradise, surrounded by pristine beaches and lush landscapes. The island’s serene environment and top-tier medical facilities make it an ideal location for those seeking both exceptional healthcare and a relaxing post-surgery experience.

What qualifications does my surgeon have?
At RBG, we ensure that you are in the hands of the most qualified and experienced surgeons. Here’s why you can trust our surgeons:
All of our surgeons are extensively trained and board-certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. They are active members of numerous international medical associations, reflecting their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and staying updated with the latest advancements in their field.
Highly Qualified Surgeons
We partner exclusively with highly experienced, board-certified plastic surgeons. Each of our surgeons has completed an extensive education and training regimen, including an additional six years of specialised training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. This rigorous process ensures that they possess the expertise and skills necessary to deliver exceptional results.
Global Recognition and Multilingual Skills
Our surgeons are world-renowned and highly educated, frequently traveling globally to present lectures and share their knowledge on plastic surgery. They speak multiple languages, ensuring effective communication and eliminating any concerns about language barriers. Should you have any concerns, your dedicated Client Manager will be available to assist and set your mind at ease.
Consultation Process
To ensure you are comfortable and confident with your surgical plan, we facilitate consultations with your surgeon both before and after your surgery. Typically, your face-to-face consultation will be scheduled 1 to 3 days prior to your surgery. Leading up to this, we will be your point of contact to liaise with your surgeon, providing you with the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your expectations in detail.
At RBG, the trust between you and your surgeon is paramount. We are dedicated to ensuring you feel safe, happy, and confident throughout your entire journey. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
When do I meet my surgeon?
We will schedule a face-to-face consultation with your surgeon to discuss and confirm all the details of your procedure, usually 1-3 days prior to your scheduled surgery date. This essential meeting ensures that you are fully informed and comfortable with your treatment plan before proceeding.
Payment and Procedure Confirmation
You won’t need to pay for your surgery until after this consultation, allowing you to confirm that you are happy to proceed with the treatment. Once you’ve given your confirmation, you will make the payment directly at the hospital.
Follow-Up Appointments
Throughout your stay, you will have follow-up appointments with your surgeon. These appointments are crucial for addressing any post-operative care questions you may have and to provide detailed aftercare instructions. Your surgeon will monitor your recovery closely to ensure everything is progressing smoothly. Your Destination Manager will help you to coordinate these appointments and ensure travel arrangements to your appointment are confirmed.
At RBG, we prioritise your comfort and satisfaction, ensuring that you have ample opportunity to discuss your treatment with your surgeon and receive comprehensive care throughout your medical journey.

At Restored Beauty Getaways, we prioritise your well-being and satisfaction. If you have any concerns upon returning home, rest assured that we are your first point of contact. Our dedicated team will guide you through the necessary steps to address any issues or questions you may have.
Additionally, our hospitals have a specialised Post-Op Committee. This committee is committed to supporting you during your recovery journey. Your surgeon will provide personalised feedback and assistance, ensuring that you receive the care you need.
What is the required stay for surgery/recovery?
The duration of stay required depends on the specific procedure you are requesting. Typically, it ranges from 7 to 14 days. However, for more complex or multiple procedures, some patients may need to stay for 16 days or longer.
During the early stages of planning your procedure and trip, your surgeon will provide a personalised recommendation based on your desired treatments. This ensures that you can plan your stay in advance and receive the necessary care during your recovery.
What type of implants do you use, and what can I expect during recovery?
At our hospitals, we currently use either Mentor or Motiva Breast Implants. As for recovery, every Breast Augmentation journey is unique. Here are some general guidelines:
- Returning to Work and Exercise: Depending on your work style, you can typically return to work after 2 weeks. Light exercise like walking can also resume at this point. However, avoid driving during the first week post-surgery, and limit car travel for 2 weeks. Be cautious with seatbelt placement. Your Surgeon will provide personalised advice and a recovery timeline tailored to your needs.
- Exercise Timeline: Arm and chest muscle exercises can be reintroduced at 8 – 12 weeks. High-impact aerobic activities (jogging, running, jumping) should wait until complete recovery. Your Surgeon will provide personalised advice.
- Pain Management: Pain varies from person to person. Expect mild to moderate discomfort after Breast Augmentation surgery. Pain usually eases after 1 – 2 weeks. Your Surgeon will guide you on pain management and prescribe medication if needed.
- Implant Lifespan: High-quality breast implants can last 20+ years. Our premium implants come with a 10-year or unlimited manufacturer warranty against structural defects. Most clients replace implants due to preference or lifestyle changes, not issues.
- Choosing Implant Type and Size: Your Surgeon considers your preferences, skin quality, body dimensions, and desired look when recommending implants. Keep an open mind during discussions.
- Breastfeeding with Implants: Most women breastfeed successfully after Breast Augmentation. Complications are rare and often related to incision sites or surgery type.
- Surgery Duration: Standard Breast Augmentation surgery takes approximately 1 hour. Timing varies based on surgical goals.
- Wearing an Underwire Bra: Avoid underwire bras for the first 8 weeks post-surgery. Use a post-surgery support garment during this time. Healing rates differ, so follow your Surgeon’s advice.
- Post-Surgery Support Garment: Wearing a post-surgery support garment is vital for your recovery. These specialised compression garments help manage swelling and promote healing of your incisions. Typically, clients need to wear them for 6 – 8 weeks after surgery.
Driving after breast surgery: Clients are not allowed to drive during the first week after surgery. For the initial 2 weeks post-surgery, minimise car travel, and take extra care with seatbelt placement. Your Surgeon will guide you on when it’s safe to resume driving
What is individual and group travel?
Individual travel is when you travel with a friend/family member at a time that is convenient for you (subject to surgeon availability). On the other hand, group travel entails being escorted to Thailand or Bali by one or two of our trained professionals at RBG. This option is ideal if you don’t have the opportunity to bring a travel companion, and it provides the added support of our staff members.
Can my partner travel with me
Absolutely! You can have a travel companion stay with you for free throughout your journey. The hospital provides a sofa bed for relatives or friends, and transfers are included for your travel companion.
Do you provide payment plan options?
We’ve partnered with Total Lifestyle Credit (TLC) to offer surgery funding options. TLC’s friendly team is ready to assist you in obtaining funding of up to $50,000. If you’re interested in exploring your funding options with TLC, you can begin the process by obtaining a free finance quote.
What is the best area to stay in Bali?
Nusa Dua, where the hospital is located, is our top recommendation. Staying in this area makes hospital transfers easier. However, patients also stay in Kuta and surrounding areas (approximately 30 minutes from the hospital). For accommodation recommendations, please visit our Bali accommodation page.
What is the best area to stay in Phuket?
PPSI is centrally located on Phuket Island, which is Asia’s primary holiday destination. We recommend staying in the Patong Beach area in Phuket.
Are transfers included in Bali and Phuket?
Yes, all transfers are included in your package. This covers transfers from the airport to your hotel, from the hotel to the hospital, and vice versa. Everything is arranged by us to make your trip as smooth as possible.
