Round 2 0

It had been almost a year and a half since my Breast Augmentation and Lift with Dr. Piyapas and what a year and a half! I absolutely loved my new assets and newfound confidence! I was finally filling out clothes the way I had always dreamed off and able to wear all those super cute, low cut playsuits I had always wanted to.

I was in the shower one morning noticed my left breast had hard lumps on one side, as you can imagine I started FREAKING OUT. On closer inspection, I realized my left breast had actually shrunk – how could I have not noticed this before!

Working for Restored Beauty Getaways and doing a lot of my own research, I self diagnosed myself with Capsular Contracture. Dr. Google to the rescue – we’ve all been there! I then took some photos, and sent them through to Dr. Piyapas and he confirmed it. I had Capsular Contracture in my left breast.

Wait! What is Capsular Contracture, you ask?

Capsular contracture develops when internal scar tissue forms a tight or constricting capsule around a breast implant, contracting it until it becomes misshapen and hard (this is no fault of any surgeon, this can occur in anyone at anytime post surgery).

As a result, the breast may feel painful and stiff, and the capsule may affect the appearance or shape of the breast.

Scar tissue is the body’s natural response to the placement of any foreign object. It is only when that scar tissue tightens or contracts and restricts the movement of the implant that the breast may develop capsular contracture.

Symptoms of capsular contracture often begin within months of the original breast augmentation surgery, but capsular contracture can occur at any time.

So, I needed to have Capsular Contracture Correction surgery, and of course whilst I was at it – I figured I would put in some bigger implants as well. Boob greed, it’s a thing! I booked in for the next available surgery opening on our May Group Tour to have Dr. Piyapas work his magic once again.

My surgery day came around very quickly. During my consultation with Dr. Piyapas, he examined me and informed me I now also had developed Capsular Contracture in my right breast. No biggie, I knew I was in great hands and had nothing to worry about. I also discussed having High Definition VASER Liposuction with Dr. Piyapas during my consultation. I thought to myself, whilst I am asleep, I may as well – right?

Everything confirmed!

  • Capsular Contracture Correction
  • Revision Breast Augmentation
  • VASER Liposuction of Love Handles, Upper and Lower Abdomen
  • 7.5 hours had past, it felt like 7 seconds for me! Surgery done!

I woke up to find that Dr. Piyapas had removed both old implants, capsules and scar tissue and replaced them with new Round, Moderate Plus Profile implants – 450cc’s. He had also taken out 850cc’s of fat from my abdomen.

The second Breast Augmentation, is a breeze compared to the first one. I didn’t even feel like I had had surgery on my breasts. The VASER Liposuction on the other hand, is quite uncomfortable. However, the staff at PPSI were absolutely fantastic in managing my pain and discomfort. I was discharged after 2 nights, back to the hotel and back to work. No rest for the wicked.

I had multiple follow up appointments before my return trip to Perth, and I could feel my body recovering leaps and bounds day by day. It has now been 5 weeks since surgery and I am almost feeling like myself again. I am still very swollen in the midsection from the VASER Liposuction but I know this will take time to go down. My breasts are still feeling quite “heavy” but I have said it before and I will say it again…and again, and again, I absolutely love them, you know what they say, the bigger the better!!
