Pauline, Breast Enlargement, Bangkok Phuket Hospital – Dr. Piyapas
I have looked into having breast augmentation for a number of years after having my third child, always dismissing the procedure as too expensive and self indulgent. I’d heard of people who go to Asia to have surgery (on current affairs shows) and I didn’t even consider this an option for me thinking it was far too great a risk of infection, and dodgy work performed by unqualified Practitioners.
Then someone I knew first hand went to Phuket to have surgery and came back with great breasts and even greater stories of the whole experience. This got me more than a little excited.
Having gathered as much information from my friend as possible about Restored Beauty Getaways I made contact with them to get a quote. I also did some more research both on the internet, and talking to more people who had been to Thailand for plastic surgery and what I found was all the stories which came from first hand experience were positive, any negative things I was told came from people who had heard from a friend of a friends cousins neighbour etc, in other words, rumors... It all seemed too good to be true that I could have the procedure and recover in luxury accommodation for less than half the price I could in my own country. Robbie was there to answer my every question promptly and thoroughly and I never once felt any pressure to go ahead and book anything. Myself and a friend booked when we felt we’d researched as much as we could and were confident it was the right decision.
What I found remarkable was the service I then received from Restored Beauty by Robbie. Everything was booked exactly as I’d requested, I was kept informed at every stage of what to expect and anytime I thought of another question Robbie replied to my emails within a day always – I was very impressed.
The trip its self was a breeze, we didn’t have to think about anything. Our transport to and from the airport, hotel and hospital was all pre arranged and punctual. We were met by a gorgeous Thai woman called Pla who we both became very fond of and who made us feel very welcome.
The hospital was a first class facility and we found the nurses to be extremely helpful and attentive. At no point did either of us feel concerned that we weren’t receiving the very best of care.
Dr Piyapas is fantastic, he took his time in consultation making certain that he knew exactly what we wanted and that we knew what to expect. His bedside manner is impeccable especially for me personally when I was in the operating room before the anesthesia and feeling quite anxious. I have had surgery in Perth 8-9 times in both public and private hospitals and I’ve never felt this reassured and comforted by the Doctor in theatre, usually it is the nurses job to do that and the doctor is nowhere to be seen. Dr Piyapas talked to me and reassured me, told me what was happening as the nurses were setting up – he even put on some English speaking music to help me relax, then he held my hand while I was given the anesthetic.
This kindness continued through our follow up consultations where he was always very concerned about our comfort and wellbeing. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering surgery, he is a remarkable man.
My breast surgery was perfect, I had some pain but it was minimal and nothing I didn’t expect. I was able to go out and sight see and shop by day three even though we needed to rest a few times throughout the day we both felt reasonably well considering we’d had surgery. I am thrilled with the end result and thoroughly impressed with the service from start to finish – I can’t fault one aspect of it.
I learned so much from the Thai people about customer service and dealing with people – they are masters in this area.
