Since the Queensland Restored Beauty Getaways opened late last year, I have been so busy, this was my first opportunity to visit Thailand and experience first-hand the premier service offered to clients by Restored Beauty Getaways. Like all of Restored Beauty Getaways clients, I was given the royal treatment and had the most incredible time!
I am thrilled to now be able to speak first-hand of the experience and personally endorse the winning combination of amazing hospitals, world class technology and Thai hospitality. It was a wonderful experience to personally meet the highly experienced and internationally trained and certified surgeons in Restored Beauty Getaways' global network and see first-hand the state-of-the-art facilities of our partnered hospitals.
I am proud to say that the customer service was amazing! Everyone from the ground crew who provided the transfers, to the nurses and administration staff at the hospitals and hotels were welcoming, warm, genuine and friendly. On top of their excellent credentials and experience, all the surgeons and nurses had the best bedside manner, all spoke fluent English and there was no problems communicating, which can be an issue in foreign countries!
I couldn't have felt more welcome or more at home! I was thoroughly impressed with the nurses and assistants who were all very skilled in checking vital signs, administering medication, taking blood, injections and changing dressing. They gave excellent advice about patient care, and always had a smile on their face. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they seemed to sense customer needs before inquiring and were very helpful and responsive in a timely manner. On top of this they were very considerate of patient emotions, respectful of patients rights and dignity, and always gave accurate, clear, understandable and polite explanations.
The hospital is very clean and sterile, and very client-focused. Like a lot of women, I chose to have a breast augmentation after having two children and breastfeeding both. Like all of our choice of referred plastic and reconstructive surgeons in our global network, Dr Witoon and his fellow surgeons at Bangkok Hospital, Phuket including Dr Piyapas, Dr Pongsakorn and Dr Pathom, Dr Witoon are genuinely warm, caring and attentive and made me feel like the most important person in the world! And, gauging from the incredible response we get back from our clients every day- they do that to everyone!
Dr Witoon put me at ease straight away, discussing and explaining the specifics of the procedure and showed me the type of implant he suggested- the moderate profile gel silicone implant because of its natural look. I felt totally comfortable asking him a million questions, and he listened to my questions, gave clear explanations of the procedures and answered my questions and addressed my concerns in detail, making me feel very confident about the surgery early the next morning.
The biggest and hardest decision for me was deciding on what size implant to choose. I was trying very hard to get in touch with what I wanted and was right for me; trying to out aside everyone else's comments and advise. I put my trust in Dr Witoon and what he suggested would be the most suitable for my frame and shape and which one would look he best. I was both happy and reassured and was starting to get very excited. A few butterflies, but they were the butterflies of expectation rather than nervousness.
I checked in the next morning to my suite at 7am, saw Dr Witoon again pre-surgery and had the standard medical tests, blood pressure, weight, height and BMI, following the blood tests I had yesterday. I felt totally at ease when I was wheeled into surgery and as I sat staring at the lights in the surgery room. I had no apprehension at all- just total trust in the surgeons and the surgical team that were very professional at all times and totally competent.
And my recovery? The level of care I received in my recovery was unbelievable! I went over by myself but at no time in my 12-day stay did I feel alone. As I dozed in and out of sleep from the painkillers, every time I woke up the surgeon or nurses were there, checking on me, seeing if I needed anything, feeding me, restoring me back to health. It was a magical way to recover.
The day after the surgery, I spent the day in hospital where I relaxed and indulged in a hair appointment and Thai massage, before checking out late the next afternoon.
It was painful, but I was on such a high checking out of hospital with my new breasts and going back to the Novotel Phuket Resort. The resort is Restored Beauty Getaways 4-star accommodation of choice casually reflecting the atmosphere of the place- beautiful, tranquil and indulgent- perched upon the hill with the most spectacular view of glorious Patong Beach.
Beautiful surroundings, lovely people, the best place ever to recover- that's if you can stay away from the shops! I couldn't and went shopping on my first evening out of hospital, and the second and the third!
In between shopping, recovering and my official appointment schedule where I had the opportunity of visiting all of the Restored Beauty Getaways hospitals and dental surgeries including the Sea Smiles Dental Clinic, Phuket, Bangkok Dental Smile Clinic, Bangkok, Bumrungrad Hospital, Bangkok and Bangkok Hospital, Pattaya. I was thrilled to see first-hand the incredible state-of-the-art facilities of the international standard hospitals and world technology, meet the surgeons, nurses, administration staff, and dentists and dental technicians.
I did a bit of the typical tourist activities within limitations, but I was lucky enough to pat a tiger and cuddle a baby tiger and monkey. I am a huge animal lover and I said I would be happy if I could pat a tiger. And I was. It was awesome!
I had been looking forward to traveling to Thailand for as long as I could remember- and I wasn't disappointed. What a place! I had an unbelievable experience, and I am so proud and excited to be able to extend an invitation to Restored Beauty Getaways clients in Queensland to experience the magic of cosmetic surgery in Thailand.
So girl's, if you like shoes, clothes, designer handbags, sunglasses and any and all things beauty and cosmetic, well, you will think you have died and gone to heaven. And now I have new assets to take home with me that I am very, very happy with!
